She is the founder and owner of KW Wealth Management LLC, an independent registered investment advisory firm that she launched from scratch. Within just four years of starting her business, Kimmy managed to build KW Wealth Management LLC into a top thriving California State Registered Investment Advisory firm.
About Kimmy Wan, MBA
Before founding KW Wealth Management LLC, Kimmy served as Vice President-Senior Financial Consultant for Charles Schwab Corporation for 13 years. During this time, she monitored an $800 million portfolio performance and conducted detailed economic research and analysis to service and recommend ongoing investment strategies to high-net-worth clients. Prior to this, she served as Manager of Asia Pacific Relationship Management and a Mutual Fund Operation Analyst for E-Trade Financial Corporation, later acquired by Morgan Stanley. For eight years, she led a team of 20 bilingual stockbrokers to service Asia and Europe, providing necessary industry and market research, data, and risk analysis to mutual fund portfolio managers.
Kimmy's success story serves as an inspiration to many. She has also passed the FINRA Series 3, 4, 7, 24, 63, and 66 Securities Exams. Kimmy's professional affiliations include the CFA Society Sacramento, CFA Institute, and the Dell Women's Entrepreneur Network. She holds several licenses and certifications, including a Life, Health & Variable Annuity Insurance License agent, CA Insurance License #0I00529, and a Licensed Investment Adviser Representative with KW Wealth Management.
Kimmy's dedication to perseverance has been instrumental in her success. She graduated from California State University, Sacramento, in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics. She then obtained her Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Phoenix.
In 2009, Kimmy completed the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) Professional Education Courses offered by the College for Financial Planning. In 2016, she was honored by the State of California Senate, Jean Fuller, for her outstanding work promoting cultural diversity. She is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese and speaks some Japanese and Chinese sign language; she can communicate with clients across community and make them feel comfortable and welcome.
